Every metalhead, particularly every metalhead who’s also a musician, (which, for the purpose of this episode, also applies to bass players) had to start somewhere. Whether it’s that first metal purchase, the first metal concert, or the experience of writing and playing metal songs with other metalheads in your own metal band, remember that “things have to start somewhere”, and every metalhead has an origin story when it comes to their entrance into the realm of metaldom.

There are so many events that qualify as DEFINING METAL MOMENTS that truly shape the life of a young metalhead, with “the danger factor” being way up on the list, along with the process of learning how to properly “weedly woo” and the discovery of the local metal scene where young metal bands would begin building their sets and refining their chops in hopes of attaining metal glory and stardom and perhaps even scoring some groupie poon and complimentary adult beverages before and after the show.

Get ready to learn the difference between “a dipswitch” and “a whill”, find out which album is “The yellow Judas Priest album” and discover which metal was played in the early 80’s “on 96 Rock” (in the daytime and/or nighttime).

Discover the lore about “The Garbage Man” and the best “opening song”, learn how to “unscramble the scrambled channels” and THANK YOU for taking the time to JOIN US for a look back “through the lens of time” into the DEFINING METAL MOMENTS of our thrash metal past from way back in the days of yore.
